    My story is about complete lack of customer service from Lowrance. LEI is a real problem if anyone decides to buy their product. The phone # in the USA is 1-800-324-1354. For Canada it is 1-800-661-3983. I purchached a cable for my Lowrance X96 on 3-19-10. Today is 4-7-10. I called the above #'s..... the rep's were either too busy on the net to talk or were being paid to be rude. Garmin is a good choice. LEI has terrible sevice! Cabela's sold me this unit and has Zero knowleledge of the problems with LEI. DO NOT BUY Lowrance or Eagle products!!!!!

    I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I am the satisfied owner of one Eagle unit (15 yrs old, still works fine) and 3 Lowrance units that have served me well. On the rare occasion that I have had to deal with customer support, they have been courteous and helpfull to a fault. Customer service is not what it used to be, it's not LEI, it's the way things are now. I find myself thrilled to call a help line and have my call answered by someone who speaks UNDERSTANDABLE english! Best of luck to you. Tom
