I love to fish but havn't had alot of experience with walleye.  Hard to believe in the Cleveland area (walleye capitol Lake Erie).  I have a small 15ftr. but am able to get out on the lake when its not too rough. Anybody in the area that can show me the ropes,  please get ahold of me mwithnell@att.net I am currently out of work so anytime is good providing the lake cooperates. If you have the experience I could use the help.   Thanx for your time Mike

Mike, I spend most of my spring fishing time, fishing for walleye out of the Port Clinton area, any old rock pile out there will usually do. Early spring is a great time for jig fishing and you usually do not have to go far to find them, just look for the clusters of boats and that's where the fish are. The bigger fish are normally out past the islands after the spawn and I like to troll reef runners for them. As it gets later in the summer I will put out of the Huron river and fish north of Ruggles beach near the castle we will normally limit out but it takes a little longer than in the spring. There are some great forums for walleye fishing; OhioSportsmanForum, WalleyeCentral.com, GofishOhio are just a few.

    Take care and Semper-Fidelis

    Jim
