Just wanted to let everyone know that the NYS Bass Federation has organized an outing to take soldiers fishing from Ft. Drum (10th Mountain) Watertown, NY on Oneida Lake (which is near Syracuse.  Looks like they have approx. 43 boats, enough hopefully to take over 80 service man and women out on an outing.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate and this will be an outing that they will remember.

They are trying to make this an annual event, and I will try to post this earlier so that maybe others from the North American Fishing Club might be able to donate not only their time, but also their boats and expertise to take these men and women out.

Will keep you posted on the outcome

We had a great day on the water.

Below is the link to our local paper on the events of the day.  Weather was great, everyone had a great time, between the door prizes, fishing, and lunch served at the end of the day.

Looking to do this again next year.  Hopefully get the word out to more boaters.
