Which is the best rigging style (setting hooks/weights/swivels/etc) for freshwater applications.  I know it depends on what you are running with (jigs/spinners/etc).  I am pretty good at fishing and I have my preferences but maybe someone has a better way....

the only time i use swivels is with carolina rigs. Use a 1/4 ounce weight and bead above a barrel swivel and 4-12 inches of leader behind the swivel. as far as spinner baits, crank baits, jigs and anything else you fish with, a swivel will take action away from your lure makeing it less effective so tie these lures straight to your line. Always remember not to set your hook untill you can feel the weight of a fish on your line or you can snatch the lure out of a fishes mouth before a hook is in it.
