I read somewhere that you can locate thermoclines with a good sonar unit. That was some time ago and I can't remember the particulars. Is this really possible, and, if it is, what would be a good sonar unit. I was thinking of purchasing an Eagle fishelite 480, is this a good enough unit? How would you set it to sense the thermocline? Thanks in advance for any and all help with this one.
