    Im not able to catch flounder consistantly. I also dont know what im doing, if anyone could help. I know they are out there. I catch one every so often on accident, with a spinner.

    i flounder fish every year.try to help if i can.first,where are you fishing.second.a lot of people cast out too far.flounder prefer the holes close to shore. if you walk out, you may step on them as they can be that close in. i make my own rigs,but there are a lot of decent rigs out there.they can be caught on all sorts of bait,squid/worms/fleas.i prefer cut fish. the bait is best if it is cut in long thin strips. if it's cut fish,preferably white underbelly .also use light rod and little weight.just enough weight to hold it in the surf. i like mine to move around. i like 1oz egg sinkers, and also the flat round sinkers.
