Hello, Trout101, & welcome to the NAFC Forums. If you've also just recently joined the NAFC, welcome to the Club as well. Make yourself at home, here.
Bored? Board! There's always this Forum to read & contribute to, not only when you need information, but also when you've simply got nothing else to do. If this isn't enough, there are also some other great Forums you can join & review/contribute to:
http://www.ultralitefishing.com/php...isfish.com (Wisconsin fishing site)
http://anglerinsider.com/forum/index.php (Minnesota site)
There are also other sites where we can build up our knowledge, like species identification sites:
http://www.landbigfish.com/fish/default.cfm
http://www.roughfish.com/species-new.html
http://www.invasivespeciesinfo.gov/aquatics/main.shtml

Also, as our fellow member Fish-a-holic points out, there's ALWAYS gear & tackle maintenance. Cleaning, relubing & putting fresh line on the reels, as well as sharpening all of the hooks, are two of the most important achievements that can be accomplished on slow days. Clearing out the Plano of Snickers wrappers, lure packaging, cut-off line & general debris... maybe reorganizing it so you're more efficient in-the-field... is also do-able, as well as inventorying it & going to the local Gander Mountain, BassPro and/or Wal-Mart to replace what you've lost, or to make needed additions to your fishing arsenal. Watch fishing shows on TV, watch the tapes you've already made, or re-read the NAFC magazine's back issues to try to catch a good tip or trick you may have missed, is also a viable, valuable use of your time. Like Fish-a-holic says, there's lots you can do... & you don't have to get anywhere near the "Honey-Do" list! Have fun.
If I'm not fishing, I'm thinking about it. Keep the line fresh, the hooks sharp, and have fun fishing. God bless you. -Sonny, Life Member since 2002
