I purchased a set of downriggers from an elderly gentleman yesterday. He said the mounting hardware for these downriggers had to stay with the boat he sold or there would have been holes left in the boat if he removed them. The down riggers say ELIMINATOR MODEL E-6500 on them along with Muskegon, Michigan. I'm wanting to know who made these downriggers and how to get ahold of them so I can purchase the mounting hardware for them. The downriggers have a hexagon stud out of the bottom of them. They are manual controlled with a friction brake and depth counter. I've looked through the Scotty, Cannon, Walker, Penn, and Vectron type of downriggers and they have nothing that would work with these downriggers. I would appreciate any help or information on this specific downrigger so I can get them mounted and in use.

sounds like you have a Mac Jac 6500 Eliminator downrigger. They are no longer made but you might have luck on e-bay.
