I have been catching alot of lunkers(In NJ 3 1/2+ lbs) on shiners. I released a 5 lb bass and it had swallowed the hook. I felt guilty. I figured it would soon die. I have to let it run after it hits because I use really big shiners.
I tried circle hooks and landed one fish and lost the next 4. How do you set circle hooks?
Does anyone here have a high hooking ratio with them?
