Smiler<!--graemlin::)--> I would spray the inside, as far as the outside, it leaves a pretty rough surface, I don't know how it would go through the water, I would think there would be a lot of drag on it, plus the additional weight?

Would spraying something like that rhino linning bed spray on the bottom of a alluminum jon boat protect it at all. I was thinking about buying a cheaper brand from auto zone and spraying the bottom and the inside to help protect it from leaking and if I hit a rock, tree, etc. Would that do any good?

I would only use it on the inside of the boat and then only if it comes in tan or light gray , as black would get very hot on your feet.
the other factor is it sticking to an aluminum boat. When I got my truck sprayed they roughed up the paint pretty good, so you may have to do a real good sanding job. As far as the outside bottom, I would find a flexible epoxy paint orput in the additive they use on car bumpers to keep the paint flexible and spray from the water line down. Just my thoughts.

I would advise carrying a few wooden cone shapped dowels. If you poke a hole in you hull pound one od those dowels in the hole tostave off the water flow. Head for the shore. Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->

my fishing parnter tried it on his boat it looked like it was going to work but the water got under the lining until it filled up like a big bubble steching it out so when it dried up you had aloose pocket under it every time out it got worse until it came apart he tried for a year or two to fix it but it never worked it cost him aobout $300.00 and two years of trouble so i would advise against it
