I bought a boat about 2 months ago...gotta a pretty nice deal for it so we took it...it is an aluminum bass tracker model boat...an 83...when we got it we didnt notice that the wood transom had a small rotten spot on the outside...now we are redoin the decks...and have finished the front one and soon will start on the back...My question is what can i do about the spot...so far I've been told two things....one i can cover up all the wood with metal and bolt it to it and it shud last several years...or two whenever we redo the back and see if i can get the wood out...i am not a very good handyman nor do i have the money to take it to someone...i can do the simple things...basically...
so what are yall's thoughts for my boat if i cant take out the wood?...also what do you think about their opinions?....thanks for your help...and remember...i am broke...so a 300 hundred dollar solution isnt possibly unfortunately
