20lb braided line has the same diameter as 6lb mono

30lb braid is equivilant to 8lb mono

suffix performance braid is the best braid you can buy!!!!!!!!

Yes you can, but make sure you get 20 lb or less. Don't want to snap a rod.

I believe power pro makes a braided line specifically for spinning reels.

There have been a couple of recent introductions of braid and fused line designed for spinning tackle. I have been useing Fireline on my spinning rigs with no problems. I make sure that the line is wound very tightly to avoid digging in. I have also used Stren Microfuse wound tight with good success. Tom

Braid doesn't get the same casting distance as mono. For short distance, braid will excel. It will always fall short of max distance. However if you up the lure weight where mono's can't handle, you can get more max distance that way.

I use Fireline, Power pro and Microfuse and don't see a casting penalty, if anything the reverse is true. I should mention that these 3 lines are not true braids but fused superline. I don't think that I have any actual braid on my spinning reels, just the trolling reels. I did notice that the fused lines need to "break in" a bit before they are at their best, they seem to soften up after a bit of fishing. Tom
