Mine is a 18 ft fiberglass Tidecraft bass boat with a 115 Merc and a Motorguide Bill Dance special edition 36 lb thrust trolling motor. It has front and rear live wells, storage under the bench seats that run down each side, front and rear casting decks, and a built in cooler in the middle between the driver and passanger seats. Great boat for bigger lakes and anyplace with a concrete boat ramp, but I'm looking to buy something smaller and lighter so I can get into some of the out of the way places without improved ramps. My boat weighs so much without a concrete ramp the trailer tires will sink up in the mud and get stuck. It's 1250 lbs hull weight plus motor gear and me, which I'm no little guy. |

I'm looking at an Alumacraft in the 16-17' range. Anyone out there own one? I would like some feedback before I buy. The one thing that attracted me to the Alumacraft was the wide gunnels which make mounting downriggers much easier. PM if you would like. Tom Fishin' fool in NE Illinois |

Mines a older SeaRay Express Cruiser that I mainly use on the Great Lakes here in Michigan. She's a 27ft, with a 8'6" beam, and a 3 foot draft. The main powerplant is a 350cu. in. / 260hp with a Alpha outdrive. There is a 100 gallon fuel tank for the main engine. There is also a 30 hp. Johnson outboard for a kicker to troll with. I installed a seperate 13 gallon fuel tank for that engine as it is a 2 stroke motor. There's 2 Cannon electric downriggers, plus I have 2 Penn 825 manual downriggers that go on the port and starbord sides from time to time instead of the dipseys or planner boards which are normally run in those positions. Tight lines,...

Old Fart, Here is my pride and joy. I own a 2002 Scout Abaco 280 with twin Yamaha 200 HPDI just got the boat in December from Richmond Virginia and shipped her up to Cleveland. She is replacing an older but very good 220 SRV SeaRay witch I still have. Thanks Tony NAFC Life Member |

Was good old Harry Truman correct when he observed, "My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference. I, for one, believe the piano player job to be much more honorable than current politicians. |

I've been wanting to do some smallmouth fishing on the Current, but my boat isn't suitable for small rivers likr that.

They are trying to get Current River limited.I know from gooseneck above to I think big springs is outboard only and above that is what 60 or 40 something like that.I would'nt mind seeing a limit from Big Springs to Ark. line because of the amount of people who can't respect the river or the people on it.I also have several friends who have shoal runners and large outboards who use comman sense and have respect for everyone else that would have to change their whole setup.I guess we will see. |

Mine is a 1998 Sea Nymph 140S It has a 25 HP Evinrude and a 6 HP Evinrude for lakes with a HP limit. I added a second throttle controller for the 6 HP and linked it to the 25 HP so I could run it from the console. Here is a link to my photos: http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/...6982IJbNun
