My buddy and I took an afternoon off from the monotony of work and decided to throw the poles in and enjoy a beautiful day. Well, it turned out to be rather adventurous as he hooked into this fish. Now, I know it's not the biggest fish I have ever seen, but what impressed me with this is that he caught it with a gold panfish hook, 10 lb test, and a smidgeon of a worm. He did a fantastic job of matching wits with the mammoth and finally landed him on shore (with my help) after 58 minutes of fight time.

What is also amazing is that this monster was out of water for nearly an hour and a half and didn't seem to phase him whatsoever. When we arrived back at the canal, he lowered him into the water and took off with a large splash. So, he's still out there hopefully.
