Last year I was using 4/0 circle hooks. This year I am going with 6/0 offset hooks. What size hooks do you use? Lifer since 05/08....Ky....Fred

i fish in the mississippi and i always use 8 oz no matter what kind of cat i am fishing for. by the way i use gamagatsu circle hooks.

It sound like every body agrees. 6/0 to 8/0 for big cats. And around 1/0 to 3/0 for table cats. But cats under 8 pounds are best for table. Hooks #2 to 1/0 are good depending on bait.
