I will be going down to lake huntley (by lake placid) and i have never been able to catch catfish in it. I have caught some good sized bass. I have been trying trotlines with half bluegills on em and catching nothing except for gars. What should i use i will be there for spring break

hi if you are in florida and running trot lines then you know that blue gill or any other sport fish is not allowed as bait and live bait is not allowed research our florida laws and try sardens or cut finger mullet panty hose wraped liver or buy some spec minnows and let them die or check local bait shops for there dead loss shiners or frozen shiners gl and research the laws blue gill can be used on you rod n reel not trot lines gl and if your in lake county florida set a trot line in lake eustis i have benn catching lots of blue cats and small channle cats and bunches of speckled bull heads
