Electric razors are THE BEST for spun hair heads...such as muddlers. its fast, and it can give you a nice...smooth...even...and any shape you like head. i have never been able to get a nice taper with scissors/razor blade, but after i use the 'lectirc, it looks so smooth and tapered. it is THE BEST muddler minnow i have ever tied.Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->

Dave, i am a bit new at tyeing....what do you meen by spun hair?  Also earlier you wrote me about "eelfly" imitations. I will add the bunny eel to my collection.  However you seem to have misunderstood me.  I want to tye an imitation of the aquatic insect  "eelfly".  You may not have them on the west coast, or know them by a differant name.  Here on Oneida Lake (cny) they hatch in july/august & can realy gum up a car's windsheld!  They hover over the road below the tree line. You are known for your vast store of fishing knowledge, hope you can find the info i seak.  THANKS for all your efforts.        CHUCK

Chuck: If they are what I'm thinking ,they are some type of Drake,I've driven through them and they make a mess of the windshield quick. Any Drake imitation will work(GreenDrake) etc. A Royal Wolff will imitate almost anything and is a good searching Dry fly and so is a Adams. Hope this helps. Lou
