Went ice fishing on Seaman Reservoir in Colorado. 4-5 inches (3" clear hard, 1 to 1.5" soft white) of ice, so not bad. Targeted yellow perch, and hoping for a mess. My friend and I sat for 3 hours total. Only that 2.5 hours into our sit, we still had no fish and were reevaluating what was going on. That was also when we got our answer, I caught my first fish through the ice for 05-06...16" Rainbow, and she was robust.
Got home, opened her up, 2 yellow perches for din din. That was our answer. So I kinda got both, but I did't think already half digested perch sounded good, still doesn't.
