Just wanted to see if anyone has used this or any other underwater camera for ice fishing. Any info would be great since I have yet to see or hear of anyone who has used these.

    Thanks  Scott

I've tried this particular model, and it worked great...for about one hour, battery died very fast, and it was hard to trasport the camera safely since we use atvs to get to the spot. ...but it sure was worth it, water was clear so the picture was actually better then in the summer. You gotta try it.

I bought an Aqua View camera a year after they came out and it is great! They have gotten a lot cheaper since then, but they come in there own carrying case and it's not that cumbersome to transport with. The newer models now come with the camera that has a molded piece that's painted like a fish which helps not scare the population. As for the battery life, I never had problem on the ice or water with it. They also come with a sun shade for the viewing screen. I would highly recommend buying one, it's a whole different world down there.

wouldnt know what to do without my cam, hooked way more fish with it especially during soft bites, i dont have a aqua vu they are pretty spendy and i have always heard they use alot of juice, i own a nature vision FISHtv they are a lot cheaper in price and have a 1 year warranty (didnt need it) they are not fragile at all i have drop it on the ice many times, never ran out of battery has infa red for low light situations, the only real difference i have noticed between the 2 is some aqua vus give you water temp some also have larger and color screens but that cost you an extra 200 or 250 more they also have longer cam cords nature vision has 50 ft thats all i need.........check out the FISHtv
