    I am from Michigan and I live around the ann arbor area and I am kind of new to ice fishing I would like to know if anybody knows a good spot to fish particularly near lake portage

    i don't know the area you are talking about, but i do fish the kalamazoo area alot.

    madden, i think i know someone that might be able to help. he postess in the mi. bb sometimes and also in a few other spots. he goes by the name PILLMAN, usethe blue message button on one of his post and leave a pm. i believe he will respond.

    go to iceshanty.com and become a member (don't worry, it's free), then go to forums and scroll down to the michigan section and click on reports and conditions. tells you were people ice fish, how safe it is, and where the fish are biting.

    i looked the site over and joined up today. like what i saw, now to see if it's as good as it looks. i've looked at many sites that just didn't lets say pan out.
