Im looking to go up to Quebec for vacation in the winter and I really wanted to check ice fishing off my bucket list. Does anyone know if the fishing is any good on the St. Lawrence river in winter and what type of fish are there?

I fish the river on the American side close to it's entry into lake ontario. I have been targeting perch mostly for profit. The popular places have slowed down significantly due too angling pressure. I haven't got as many fish this year as past the ones i due pull out are bigger. As far as species the St. Lawrence has many. Perch, panfish, crappie, bass, pike, muskie, and big walleye. I'v also seen bullhead and catfish pulled out in the winter. Use cation as the temperatures have been in the 30's this whole week, talk to locals about the safety of the area you are fishing.
