I hear a lot about catch and release and have no problem with that. Some people just love to fish and that is good. Happy to hear that some people put their catches back.
As for me, I really like to eat fish so I
seldom put my catch back. Hear in Florida We are allowed to keep one Red a day, 18 to 27 inches, and are allowed five spotted sea trout, one over 20" and they have to be at least 15."
Yesterday I caught a 26" Red that was fun to catch because he really put up a good fight. The fillets were reallyt big and my wife and I will only be able to eat one at a time, and I look forward to that.
I only keep fish that are legal and make sure others do also when I am able. Also, sometimes a fish will swallow the bait so it is best to cut the line as far in the mouth as possible and leave the hook in the fish. Trying to dig the hook out will kill the fish. They will live with the hook left in them
