What is your favorite live and dead ling cod bait?
My favorite here is a live kelp green ling about 8 inches long. Favorite lure around here is a large white worm, 8-12 inches in a 2 ounce jig head. Favorite dead bait for them seems to be herring.

While were at it, what is your special rig that you use to hook and land these big, sharp toothed ugly, but oh so good tasting menaces of the jetty?

My favorite rig, a single 7/0 salmon hook tied on 30 lb test mono with a 5/0 treble on the bottom. Put the single hook in the back of the fish and one point of the treble through the tail.
