    what wold be a good kind of bait or lure to use when surf fishing???

    well for starters it all depends on what you are fishing for and where you are. if youre near north carolina or virginia and youre fishing for red drum during the summer, mullet and bunker are good bets. artificial wise go with jigs tipped with gulp. for bluefish and spanish, gotcha plugs are key. you can also use strips of mullet for the bluefish. they will also hit small topwater plugs and small strecthes like 15 or less even mirrolures. if you are fishing for smaller species liek spot and pompano use sandfleas, squid, and bloodworms.
