if your using a chunk rig which i assume you are there are a few ways you can rig it. number one use the leader that you already use whether that be a wire leader or heavy mono. be sure to try and use a circle hook make your life a little easier. above your leader where you have the swivel you can put on an egg sinker and keep it in place by using a crimp and a bead above it a certain distance, 3-4 inches is good length for the egg sinker to move. you can also use a float rig, here you can use either a circle hook rig or a king mackerel rig. any kind of large ball float or pear float will work here. you can even use a balloon if its legal. the other option is to use a fish finder setup. before you put on your leader slide on what is called a fish finder. its a snap swivel with a tube on it allows the weight to slide without the fish noticing. if one isnt available any kind of snap rigged with a bead before it to ride on will work as well. the only other thing that would help is to try and keep the leader short. 1-2ft max is great keeps everything in line withoput having a big weight drop in the middle of the rig

Check out double D extreme tackle...he sells on ebay and online. Wonderfully made rigs at a very cheap price. He's out of Texas. I have purchased several and have never been disappointed with the quality and durability of the rigs!
