I peir fish in a sound were the current is fast i have tried lot of things even got a 13ft pole and strap a 5 foot pvc pipe to the dock. i can't hardly stop my bait, and if i do it is with 8-10oz weight and a smaller pice of bate. so can you give me some tips or ideas on how ti stop this.

use qa pin rig setup it involves using two rods a chunker and a heaver. one has a weight with a snap clip on it. its a grapple weight designed to hold firm and not let go talk to the local tackle shop and they should be able to tell you more
