I just bought a Shakespeare 7' freshwater one piece rod with line capacity of 6-20lbs.  I normally fish for panfish off the piers in saltwater.  Do you think I'll have any problems with the rod since its a freshwater rod?

Shouldn't be a problem.  Just hose off everything at day's end to get the salt off.

Thanks.  I did notice a couple differences in the rods but I don't think they matter.  Freshwater rod has smaller eyelets and metal attaching eyelets to rod.  Also freshwater has shorter sensitivity tip.
