i live in az , and go to san deigo once a year charters ther ehave cost more then i can afford , and i plan on doing some pier shark fishing which pier would u fish

I used to fish the Oceanside pier and the harbor. The military harbor on Camp Pendelton is by far the best for almost everything but you need a special license for that. I would say that it is worth the price to get a non resident 1-3 day license and then fish off of the jetties around oceanside instead. I have a small boat now not big enough to take outside of a harbor and have been looking for an excuse to hit the salt with it. Let me know if you are interested.
