Since we are talking about Rapala lures. I should share this.

Rapala X-Rap Sub Walk. Haven't tried them, but they look good.

I was using an X-Rap today, but nothing cared for it...

The dark green one on the right hand side usually works for me, but not today!

Last night Scott and I were fishing Blue Marsh.  It was a great evening for fishing!  While we were working our baits Scott suggested that perhaps we should use top water baits tonight.  That brought on a lengthy discussion about "skitter pops" & "skitter props"...

These are some of the very first Rapala lures that I ever purchased.  Unfortunatly I have yet to catch a fish with them!  I had visions of a giant SMB racing up from the depths to grab my bait...Ha!  I would like to know where they shot the footage for their commercials / fishing shows!  But I keep them in my tackle box, using them as the urge strikes.  I have had much better luck with Heddon and Rebel top water baits (the older ones)...

While the "Bushwacker" was geting fit with with new straps and motor hood, I was looking through the tackle that I removed from her storage area and noticed a few items that should be in this thread...

I have not had much success with the Rapala lipless crankbait, but I carry them for the "just in case" moments!  The one in the bottom center is an 20th anniversary for the NAFC, which I won as a door prise at the Ohio member meet.  The crawfish colered one (made by any manufacturer) are good for pike.  I would think SMB would like them as well!

If you have a Rapala lure, especially some of the newer ones, that are not posted here, please take a pic and post it up!  And if you have some interesting comments surrounding this manufacturer, please post it too!

I have had success with the rattlin raps, they seem to work as well as any other rattle type bait. Has anyone tried the glidin raps yet? If so what are your thoughts?
