I saw the Trigger X soft plastic baits online one day and thought, "That;s kinda neat." Last night I was out at Wal-Mart browsing the fishing section when I spotted the bright-green package. All they had were three different styles in a few colors. First, I grab a 4-pack of flipping tubes in Goby. Then, a 6-pack of minnows in Blue Pearl/Black Flake. I haven't had a chance to use one yet. However, here are a few things that I like and dislike about them so far.
Likes:
Individual Packaging: Each one is individually packaged for freshness and each bait stays saturated in attractant. No more dead scents due to an improperly sealed bag.
Biodegradable: The baits are biodegradable so there's worry about damage caused by lost soft plastics.
Species Specific: The baits are scented for a specific species of fish. Justpick out your package labeled bass, walleye, or saltwater.
Price: At $2.00 a pack (4-pack tubes, 6-pack minnows) it's not a bad deal, in my opinion.
Dislikes:
Packaging: I would have liked the packaging to be biodegradable as well. I don't intentionally throw trash on the ground or in the water. However, the wind does blow things around. I think it would be a nice touch to add.
Limited Color Selection: They don't have but about eight colors of each bait. It would be nice to have a wider selection.
That's about it, for now. I'll let you know more the next time I go fishing. I'll be taking my camera with me so, I might have some pics to go along with the post.
