We took out a Charter consisting of Walter,Harry,Jose,Mike,George and Marco. We were entered in the shinnecock Shark Tournament. we ran out to the 25 fathom fingers and set out our slick. No action all day except for 3 free jumping Makos way out of our slick. then at 3:30 pm the deep bait gets hit. As soon as I set the hook a nice 6' Mako leaps 10' into the air! I hand the rod over to Marco and the battle was on! The mako put up a spirited 30 minute battle. We tail roped the mako and placed in the cock pit green. We made it back to the weigh in with an hour to spare! At the weigh in ceremonies we placed first with the 148 lb. Mako.
