im going out to a lake this weedend with my gf and her dad on his 32 ft houseboat. we will be in a slip by nightfall and i was wondering if i could get some tips on catching some good night crappie. here is my situation:
fishing off the slip dock
40 ft of water
dock is wood
have a fishing light

i dont know how to fish for crappies. here are some questions i have.

should i use the light?
how deep to i fish?
artificial or live?
minnows are hard to come by here. will panfish worms work?
bobber?
how far out should the light be?
am i better off going for cats?
