My favorite techniques for all panfish are as follows:
#1) Strike King Bitsy Minnow(the green color that looks like a baby bass)-ive caught countless bluegill,-big and small/ ive also caught an 8.5 in. crappie/ ive caught some bass on this also.
#2) A waxworm or two stuck right behind the head on a tiny hook fished right next to the salad. I catch some nice big bluegill like this.
#3) half a night crawler on a tiny hook. i like to find spots where the shade of the trees is laying on the surface. i fish right on the edge of the shade. this works wonders on rocky bottoms. I usually catch smaller bluies like this, but ive reeled in a couple nice ones.
#4) Tiny little wigglers on a teeny tiny jig bounced of the bottom in shallow water or swam just above the bottom.
Anyone else have any favorite techniques to share?
Best wishes on the water
