Was fishing and just couldn`t seem to get bass to bite.Runnin lures threw swarms of lil shads and kept gittin small hits.So I switched to a broken back minnow and every cast I started pullin gills in . It was a blast.Made my day.

Same happened to me here in Delaware over the past couple of days. Bluegills were gathering at the back of this cove on the northern side of a large pond where crappies usually stack up, holding around some fallen timber and striking micro-cranks cast to the surface when the jig bite was slower than I wanted it to be. I caught 23 in the course of a few hours, adding one crappie and one small largemouth bass towards the end of the day. It makes up for not being able to get out on the water to where the big ones are hanging out.
