Any yellow perch fisher folk here in eastern (tidewater) VA. I'm looking for a perch location around here. I miss the Lake Ontario days of coolers full of panfish. I've tried the Pamunkey and Chickahominy and I've heard mid to late Feb is the run month down here.

I'm a Minnesota boy living in Fredericksburg. I've caught some nice perch (12'-14.5", citations) up at Lake Moomaw by Covington, Va. Have never fished down by you. Have you ever fished Whitehurst? I heard they closed? I heard Walleyes are stocked in there.

    Hello

Yellow perch run good here, North west river is where you will get them this time of year. (Bobs fishing hole)

Another place is West neck River (Pongo) the perch run starts late March for White perch.

    Good fishing

Yes, they Closed Whitehurst as of 1 November 2009, (undetermined

    amount of time),

I have seen walleye come out of there, not sure when the last time they re-stocked with walleye prior to the closing date.
