I was fishimg last night with mt daughters boyfriend. We had caught 3 crappie and had them on a stringer over the edge of the dock. I heard them spllashing excessively. Jokingly, I said "I'll check the fish because I bet a Muskie has them". Razzer<!--graemlin::p-->
I looked over the edge, wearing my newly purchased headlamp, and I saw a Muskie clamped on to the little bundle of Crappies at the end of our stringer. I lifted out the striger and the Muskie let go. I watched him swim under the dock and out the other side. I glanced away and then back again and he was swimming through the weeds along side the dock. He was good size for the local lake. Must have been 45" or so. Well, one Crappie was history. The Muskie had chomped through the gills. That was exciting for me as well as my daughters boyfriend, who had never seen a Muskie before. Next time we'll keep our panfish in a Bucket on the dock.
