We fish a large body of water in Manitoba each year. Pike of any decent size are hard to find in the spring and in the fall. We can find good sized pike in the summer. The lake has lots of shallow and deep water - down to 50-feet. We have fished the shallows and deep water in the fall with not much luck. We have tried trolling crankbaits, spoons, and Lindy rigging with minnows. Where are the pike in the cooler water months? They should be easiest to catch in the spring and fall but this is not the case. There are perch and whitefish in the lake as a food source. Our situation is consistent with other anglers on the lake. Any help is appreciated!!
