Going to a new lodge in Manitoba this year - basically going for large pike. I've been going barbless for the past several years however; this lodge requires single barbless hooks only. that means that I need to replace my existing treble hooks with a single hook.
I plan to replace my existing treble hooks and split rings with a new split ring and new hook - this way I can put my treble hooks back on my lures after the trip.
Any recommendations of what hooks to use ?
Seems to me that most of my existing treble hooks are either 3/0, 4/0 or 5/0. I've used Gamakatsu in the past but that was for worm or plastics and I don't think a worm hook is the correct hook to use on a 5-Of-Diamonds or my Rapalas.
Has anyone done this before and what are your thoughts / recommendations.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
