In warm summer waters would a top water swimbait be a good choice for catching large pike or musky? I have a camp near prime toothy critters water but I've never fished for a true trophy before. This summer coming up I plan on chasing that trophy. Besides trolling weedbeds this spring what are other ways I might increase my odds of catching that trophy fish? The lake I'm fishing is a murky water lake, about 15 to 25 feet deep with lots of weeds around the edges. Besides pike and musky this lake holds bass, panfish, and tons of catfish. I was thinking that a swimbait in baby bass might work well durning summer when the shallow bite is past. Any help would be great. Thanks
