got the boat out for the first time this year. little cool out, high 40's to low 50's. water was just under 40. this is the earliest we've gotten out in the boat. didn't do to bad, caught the most pike in one day we've ever caught. got 5. biggest was 30 ins. 7 lbs. Not a monster, but good action and a good start to the year. will only get better as the water warms up here in NJ.

we were about a week from safe ice here in NJ, and then it got warm and rained a couple of weeks ago. so much for icefishing this year. nothing else better to do than make lures and wait for warmer weather to open water fish. this was the FIRST pike, it's not the 7 lber. we didn't take any pics of that one.
