    just wondering what the best knot is for tying a superline (spiderwire stealth) to a steel leader for pike and muskie

    THE POLOMAR KNOT! UNQUESTIONABLY THE BEST KNOT FOR ANY SUPERLINE. DO NOT USE SNAPS W/ YOUR LEADERS, GO SPLIT RING TO SPLIT RING, GET A GOOD PAIR OF SPLIT RING PLIERS. IT IS EASY TO SWITCH BAITS THEN.

    Another tip I would offer is retie after each fish. Even if the teeth never touched the line a big pike will put lots of strain on the knot so retieing is a safe bet to not loosing a nice fish. Nothing bites worse then knot failure, and it seems to always happen when we have a quality fish on.
