I was emailed this photo claiming it was caught at White Bear Lake, MN. So far I have found the same photo on a lot of websites claiming it was caught in Minnesota, North Dakota, Utah and in Canada.
Looks fake

I researched the photo on the net. It has been around since at least 2001. IF it's real, siamese fish do occure at hatcheries, they just don't survive, it's a rarity. A lot of people think that it's two fish, the smaller one being caught first, put on the stringer than the larger one. The smaller fishes head is inside the gill of the larger one. I could not find any conclusive evidence either way. If it is real, wouldn't the person who caught it have come out publicly by now? Mike Black: Life Member since 2004 from Klamath Falls Oregon |

i agree with fish-mad and killsuckers about the gill thing. how would it survive and grow to be that big and it probably wouldnt be the first time it was caught if it was real |

I REALLY DON'T KNOW ABOUT THIS ONE. IT LOOKS TOO FAKE TO ME. IF YOU REALLY LOOK AT THE PICTURE, THE PIXEL DIFFERENCE IS KINDA FUNNY AT THE TAIL. THE SMALLER ONE IS CLEARE THAN THE LARGER ONE BUT, YET THE MOUTH OF THE LARGER ONE IS CLEARER. ALSO IF YOU LOOK AT THE LEFT EYE OF THE LARGER ONE, YOU WILL NOTICE A LINE FROM THE EYE DOWN TO THE MOUTH AND THE LOWER LIP OF THE SMALLER ONE. TO ME IT JUST LOOKS TOO FUNNY AND VERY NOTICEABLE THAT IT LOOKS TO BE PHOTOSHOPPED TOGETHER...LOL. BUT THAT IS JUST MY OPINION. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A LINE LIKE THAT ON ANY FISH AND I JUST CAUGHT A NICE 26 1/2 INCH NORTHERN YESTERDAY. IT DIDN'T HAVE THAT LINE ON THE HEAD. |
