Oh man, why are they complainin'? Pike are good eatin' fish! I like them between 30 and 35 inches for keepin'. Just have learn how to remove the "y" bones from the fillets.

Plus if you're haulin' up 20+ pounders, that's a blast!

Perhaps because there not native and are frowned upon as being an invasive species.

But then again some folks think some folks don't belong in Main either .

Could probably call some an invasive species.

Yeah...why are you complaining (well unless you're a perch angler)! Pike are fun to catch and taste awesome, too!

Brook trout and white fish are popular with the natives. Pike and even Lake trout are considered trash fish. And there ain't no cricks in Maine neither I learned that from the natives as well. There are brooks and rivers

pike are one of the best fighting fish in fresh water.. just ask anyone whos caught one. i personally think bass are garbage fish. any kid with a pole can catch a bass, their like sunfish... but a day plucking pike out of deep water what a treat. i'am heading to maine to take care of that problem lmao

Yes, I have seen four year olds catch bass with princess fishing rods, but it takes special knowledge and skill to be successful at bass fishing.

I can remember in reading articles in outdoor magazines when I was much younger and apparently there were lots of people who though smallmouths were trash fish, they only wanted trouy.
