The question is when does pike and muskie season open in your area?

Here in NY where I fish it opens May 1st for pike and June 19th for muskie.

In Illinois there is no statewide closed season for any species. Certain waters have 'site specific' regulations such as the Lk Mich. closed perch season in July, and some C&R periods on some waters in the spring. Tom

    Muskie(Tiger and pure) : 1 fish over 36"

Northern: 3 fish over 24". These are the statewide limits, some waters have special regs. Most of the good muskie waters have a 48" minimum.  Tom

Seems that along the border many areas consider northern a nusiance. Last time I checked, North Dakota was open all year with no minimum size and a 3 fish limit except in the Devil's Lake area, where the daily is 5. I think it's New Hampshire that has a firearms season for northern! Tom

Musky & tiger musky is 40" min, daily creel limit is 1 (combined species) and is open year round.

Pickerel is 18" min, daily creel limit is 4 and is open year round.

Northern pike is 24" min, daily creel limit is 2 (combined species) and is open year round.
