WOW that sounds like quite a trip!! Hook into any monsters? Where abouts were you fishing (I dont want to steal your secret spot, just wondering what part of the country)? Do you have fishing trips like this a lot?

you can check with the guide who took us...or check any lake shelbyville report and see it. everyone is catching them by the boat loads..or wait better yet i could post pics if needed..now i remember why most the oldheads dont post anymore. you got this new batch of terminal douchebags who got to make smart remarks about everything. i was just giving the original poster a chance to enjoy a nice trip but of course the trolls gotta put there 2 cents in

On a good day on Lk. Shelbyville 4 guys that get out at sunrise or a bit before could easily have 300+ white bass by 9:30 am if they are familiar with the lake. Tom

i fish mark twain some and have not done real well on the whites. have caught a few here and there. if you want to get into them heavy lake of the ozarks  has a good population of whites as well as truman lake.  like big john said lke shelbyville in ill and lake carlyle both have excellent white bass populations. i have expierenced both of them personally and done well on both lakes ,200-300 in a 6 hour trip there was 3 of us. where were you fishing on mark twain. i like the sandy creek and indian creek arms ( they are right next to each other ) you can get way back up in them and both are excellent for crappie and bass. also check with catmandu he lives up that way and he might know more about the whites than i do. from my perspective on that lake i would be happy with 13 whites in 2 hours. so good job
