For THE LAST 30 YEARS MAINE RESIDENTS COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT CATCHING THE TROUT THEY USED TO CATCH; BUT I CAN SAY THAT MAINE RESIDENTS COMPLAIN MORE THAN THEY REACT TO THEIR ISSUES.THEY NEED TO START CONTACTING OTHER STOCKING AGENCIES IN OTHER STATES FOR HELP AND ASSISTANCE SO THEY CAN SHOW THEM THE REAL MEANING FOR SALMONOID FISHERIES.I CAN NAME SEVERAL BLUE RIBBON STATES IN OUR UNION THAT HAVE GOTTEN RICH FROM PRODUCING GREAT FISHERIES FOR THERE STATE.New york pennsylvannia, and all the mid western great lake strain fisheries produce better than average size trout and salmon. Maine needs to wake up;WE're living the cabin fever of yesterday.
    Try it all!

I think improving the fishery is a good idea and providing blue ribbon trout and salmon fishing would be a good investment. I have never been to Maine but assumed that there was phenoninal trout fishing there. even though here out west we have great fishing i always thought of the  New Ingland part of the country as trout central

IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY ! MONEY ! IT COST MORE MONEY TO PRODUCE MORE FISH ! IT COST MORE MONEY TO PRODUCE BIGGER FISH ! OH , AND WHO PAYS FOR IT? YOUR FISHING LICENSE ! TROUBLE IS THE STATE HAS NO MONEY! YOU NEED MORE HACHERIES , MORE PEOPLE TO RUN THEM . MORE FISH TO FILL THE STREAMS. MORE MONEY!!!

no complaints up on this end,, the trout are big and plentyfull,, problem is that maine is a tourist state, they direct folks to the "well known" spots, like moosehead, or rangely, meanwhile us natives know where to catch some honey's...
enjoy the woods and waters and be safe all, take a kid fishing! or,,, take a kid to a car show!
