Has anyone ever tried eggs from other fish for trout fishing?? Like say I catch a female white bass, could I use those eggs as bait?? Anyone ever do this?

I don't think that this is a stupid question at all. well Trout will eat salmon eggs or other fishes eggs that spawn in the same waters as trout so it is always worth a try. I have never seen white bass eggs, are they pretty small? if they are maybe you could make a spawn bag rathe rthan trying to thread them on a hook. Just make sure it is legal in your state.

That's illegal in Ca, but I'm sure it would work.

Fishing with game fish or parts thereof is illegal in many states, be sure and check your state's rule book. Tom
