Anyone ever hear of creek chub?  I think that's what I have been catching but am not sure.  They look like small trout but with silvery scales.  Is anyone familiar with these fish?

creek chubs tend to have little nodules or 'bumbs' that grow on their head. What you're catching may be a 'fall fish', they can grow up to 12" and are a member of the minnow family. fall fish have a silvery side, chubs tend to be more sedate in color.

If you caught it with a fly it is definately a Fallfish or a Common Shiner.

I don't know what they are called, but I catch them all of the time, they are nasty fish, but they always seem to swim with trout. Some of them get pretty big. I caught a pretty big one a few weeks back in Wills Creek. I've seen them in Evitts Creek, Town Creek and 15 mile creek. The ones I see the most have noticeable pink fins. They seem to hang with carp too. I've taken pictures of them and showed them to people and get a different answer from everyone, lol.
