Just got back from Canada and had a decent trip. The may flies hatched right before we got there so the fishing was affected. We did catch alot of fish, but it was down from prior years. The dam at Ear Falls is currently under contstruction to add another power house (turbine) and therefore the flow out of the dam is minimal(why I don't know) The fishing in the river was tough as it was very hard to locate fish without any current. We made our way out onto Pakwash and managed a decent crankbait bite. We had a number of fish between 20-25 inches with many 18-20 inchers. Our biggest fish of the trip was a nice 31.25" walleye caught by my father-in-law, who has been coming up to Ear Falls since 1957 and this was his biggest walleye ever. I will post pictures when I get them.
