I have a question for other jig fishermen/women out there. Has anyone ever heard of applying a lip to a shad style jig? I am in the process of making my next years jigs, having just finished altering one mold so that I can have a fixed double stinger hook for slow fishing neutral/negative fish. I was wondering if applying a lip to my faster fishing shad jigs might spice things up a bit. I've had excellent results using 1 oz. size with 5-6 in. soft plastic for active walleye, also bass and pike. I was thinking it might shake up the bait a bit more, really getting the rubber moving.
